The Levels

Unless otherwise stated in the skills themselves, what you gain in each skill is measured by the skills level combined with your tier.

Untrained

You are totally and completely inept in this stat or skill if your strength is at this level you are lucky to lift anything heavier than a kunai, If any skill type is set to this you can't have any jutsu's in it... you know think Lee and Ninjutsu. And yes this means that if you are incompetant at ninjutsu, you can't use the academy techniques.

Beginner

The first level one can possess in a skill is Beginner, this is the lowest one can be and still able to perform a technique in it. If you are a beginner in a skill you can use jutsu's in that skill up to one ranks below your characters rank to a minimum of E-rank.

Adept

So you've got a bit of skill now, being around the mediocre range. Someone of this level is rising in skill but this would be the average skill for a jounin but an academy prodigy might also be found at this level. People of this category are able to use up to their rank in that area for example a B-rank (2-5) nin that is adept in Genjutsu can use up to B-rank Genjutsu

Expert

Becoming a truly skilled person in a skill will allow people to be named experts of the art but there is room for improvement, not yet a master but the person's skill is definitely not to be mocked. This will grant the ninja the ability to use jutsu up to one rank above theirs in the skill that they are experts in.

Master

Finally, that skill of which people can began to become true masters of an art. Effort, dedication or mere natural talent has paid off. Most Jounin have several kills which has reached this status, however while you are now considered a master in the art do not think for a second that it means you have finished the path.

Grandmaster

The final level, welcome to the most prestigious level you can obtain when it comes to a skill, your level has gone above and beyond and this is where people are legends, and able to use jutsus to far greater results than others.

The Skills

Ninjutsu - The user’s skill in Ninjutsu, will affect how powerful their skill in Ninjutsu is.

  • At Grand Master level you are able to fuse two elements together to create an advanced element, even if it would normally be blocked by bloodline, though the bloodline will be stronger and you can only make one hybrid element this way.

Taijutsu - The user’s skill in Taijutsu, will affect how powerful their skill in Taijutsu is.

  • At Expert level you are able to use up to the first gate, barring other limitations
  • At Master level you are able to use up to the fifth gate, barring other limitations
  • At Grand Master level you are able to use up to the eighth gate, barring other limitations

Genjutsu - The users skill in Genjutsu, will affect how powerful their skill in Genjutsu is.

  • At Untrained, you are pretty much screwed if anyone uses a genjutsu, no matter how weird things might get..
  • At Beginner Level you can detect and break genjutsu up to two ranks below you
  • At Adept Level you can detect and break genjutsu up to one ranks below you
  • At Expert level you are detect and break genjutsu up to your rank
  • At Master you can detect and break genjutsu that are one rank higher than you
  • At Grand Master level your illusions count as one rank higher for detection.

Strength - How physically strong is your character (will put references in as we scale them out)

Agility - How fast does your character move and react

Endurance - How much abuse can they take

Medical - The users knowledge with medical knowledge, both in terms of the human anatomy and medical ninjutsu

  • Beginner: Allows the ninja to heal others and themselves, and use Medical ninjutsu up to one rank below their own.
  • Adept: Allows the ninja to use up to rank medical Ninjutsu and healing objects up to their rank, their knowledge of anatomy also grants the ninja the ability to use Medical ninjutsu offensively.
  • Expert: Allows the ninja to use medical techniques, and equipment up to 1 rank higher than the user.
  • Master: with at least Expert in Fuuinjutsu as well you can use the Strength of a Hundred seal
  • Grandmaster: Grants the ninja the ability to use the One's Own Life Reincarnation, and other techniques that will allow users to bring back someone who was killed in the same thread that they were in.

Kenjutsu - The users proficiency with all weapons, swords, spears, bows you name it.While the jutsu follows the listing above the ability to use weapons of certain ranks follows the list below, they do not rely on characters tier:

  • Beginner - Can use simple D-rank weapons, like your run of the mill Katana’s and Windmill Shuriken, these weapons don’t have any special skills of their own but can be used as catalysts for jutsu
  • Adept - Can use up to C-rank Weapons, Here is where weapons start picking up unique traits such as imbued jutsu’s
  • Expert - Can use up to A-rank Weapons, these can be quite devastating or just hard to use. Most A-rank weapons also have an effect of not being able to be used by people other than their owner.
  • Master - Can use up to S-rank weapons these items are said to be quite powerful with secret techniques imbued within the weapon itself.
  • Grandmaster - Grants the user the ability to use National Treasure level weapons such as the seven swords or the treasures of the six paths. These are all one of a kind items. As an added perk, even the most basic of weapons are considered to be the same rank as the wielder.

Summoning - The user's proficiency in summoning.

  • Beginner: Allows the ninja to summon a rank C creature.
  • Adept: Allows the ninja to summon a rank B creature.
  • Expert: Allows the ninja to summon a rank A creature and to use summoned animal related jutsus.
  • Master: Allows the ninja to summon the boss summon of their primary contract, hold multiple contracts, and access the Assisted sage mode when combined with at least expert level chakra control.
  • Grandmaster: Grants the user access to Sage Mode when combined with master level Chakra control

Fuuinjutsu - The user's abilities to use sealing techniques, be they to seal away techniques disrupt a person's chakra, Create/use curse seals.

Chakra Capacity - How much chakra does your character have, This also doubles as your characters stamina pool as in the world of Naruto the two stats are intertwined.
Chakra Efficiency - How well does your character use their Chakra, when they use a Jutsu does their chakra go to waste, or do they use exactly enough to get the job done

The Points

Now y'all might be wondering how you get the magical points to spend across these fields that is real simple. Rank up, the more experienced your ninja is the effective they will be. You get 3 points every major tier and 2 every other tier, in effect your growth points will look like below:

4-5: 3
4-4: 5
4-3: 7
4-2: 9
4-1: 11
3-5: 14
3-4: 16
3-3: 18
3-2: 20
3-1: 22
2-5: 25
2-4: 27
2-3: 29
2-2: 31
2-1: 33
1-5: 36
1-4: 38

1-2: 42
1-1: 44
0-5: 47
0-4: 49
